Description About the Webinar:

When a tracheostomy tube is surgically placed, the hope is that the tube can be decannulated at some point in the near future while we may not be always succeed. There are patients who may not continue to require a tracheostomy still remaining with a tracheostomy tube and patients who are not ready for a decannulation being decannulated. This webinar is designed to educate clinicians caring for patients with a tracheostomy, especially those who are involved in the decannulation of a tracheostomy tube. The activity will provide a discussion about when to decannulate a patient’s tracheostomy tube, existing practices in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and measures to promote successful decannulation of a tracheostomy tube.

We encourage as many individuals from your institution to attend as possible, so please disseminate this post to other members within your institution widely.
